Serving Faribault, Minnesota
A gun shop worth the drive from Faribault
Faribault and Le Center are tied together by one road. Highway 99 begins just northwest of town at the MN-21 junction and runs west through Le Sueur County farm country straight past our front door. That makes the trip from the Rice County seat about as simple as a 26-mile drive gets — one turn, about half an hour, no interstate. Faribault has its own FFL options, and we're glad it does. The folks who make the drive to us usually come for the things that are hard to find anywhere in southern Minnesota: a suppressor purchase handled start to finish in one visit, a full Cerakote refinish, or custom laser engraving on everything from a hunting rifle to a retirement plaque.
Rice County shooters have plenty of reasons to keep their gear in working order — walleye and panfish on Cannon Lake just west of town, deer in the countryside along the Cannon River, and Sakatah Lake State Park down Highway 60 toward Waterville. Younger Gunworks is a certified service-disabled veteran-owned small business: founder Mike Wolbrink is an Army veteran who served combat tours with the 82nd Airborne, and the shop is veteran and woman owned. We keep around 150 firearms on hand, order from more than 50 wholesalers, and run the counter the way small-town shops are supposed to — straight answers, fair prices, no pressure.
For Faribault customers
What Faribault customers come in for
Here's what Faribault customers most often make the drive for:
- FFL transfers — $30. Buy from any online retailer or auction site, have it shipped to us, and we'll handle the paperwork and call you the day it arrives.
- Special orders. If it's not among the roughly 150 firearms in the store, we order from more than 50 wholesalers and most guns arrive in 2–3 shipping days.
- Suppressors. Our Silencer Shop kiosk and in-store fingerprinting take the pain out of the ATF process; transfers from an outside FFL/SOT are $100.
- Cerakote — "Color My Gun." Durable H-Series coating in the color or pattern you want, from a single slide to the whole firearm.
- Laser engraving — "Tattoo Your Gun." Fiber and CO2 lasers for personalizing firearms, knives, and gear.
- Awards and department gifts. Retirement plaques, tumblers, signs, leather patches, challenge-coin displays and memorial keepsakes for police, fire, and EMS crews across Rice County, plus Blue Label duty-purchase programs for qualified officers.
- Ultrasonic gun cleaning. A deep clean with a function check and optional test fire — smart insurance after a wet season on the lake or in the deer stand.
- Optics and gunsmithing. Scope sales and mounting, trigger work, and repairs on common makes and models, with a MantisX training system you can try in the store.
