New Prague folks already know the road to Le Center. It is the Le Sueur County seat, and if you live south of Main Street you are a Le Sueur County resident yourself — the courthouse, the license center, and the county fairgrounds are all down here. Younger Gunworks sits right along that same trip, at 16 E Derrynane St on Highway 99, directly across from the fairgrounds. From downtown New Prague it is about 18 miles: Highway 13/21 south through Montgomery, then west on 99, roughly 25 minutes door to door.
New Prague has a strong shooting community of its own, including an indoor range right in town — and that is exactly why plenty of your neighbors make the drive to us for the bench work. A $30 FFL transfer on an online purchase, a Cerakote refinish before deer season, a scope mounted and bore-sighted properly, or a suppressor started and finished at our in-store Silencer Shop kiosk. We are a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, veteran and woman owned — founder Mike Wolbrink is an Airborne Ranger who served combat tours with the 82nd Airborne, and co-owner Jody Younger keeps the place running like a small-town shop should: straight answers at the counter and work done right.

The work that fills our bench
Here is what New Prague customers most often make the drive down Highway 13 for:
- FFL transfers — $30. Buy from GunBroker, Palmetto State Armory, or any online seller and have it shipped to us; we handle the paperwork and background check when you pick it up in Le Center.
- Suppressor sales. Our in-store Silencer Shop kiosk takes your fingerprints on the spot, so the whole NFA process starts and finishes in one visit instead of a mail-in scramble.
- Firearm sales and special orders. Around 150 guns in the store and 50-plus wholesalers behind them — most special orders arrive in two to three shipping days.
- Cerakote H-Series coating. Our "Color My Gun" service refinishes a hard-used duck gun or gives a carry pistol a fresh, durable look.
- Laser engraving. Fiber and CO2 lasers "tattoo" firearms and cut plaques, tumblers, signs, and leather patches — including retirement plaques and challenge-coin displays for police, fire, and EMS departments across Scott and Le Sueur counties.
- Gunsmithing and ultrasonic cleaning. Trigger work and repairs on common makes, plus a deep ultrasonic clean with a function check — and an optional test fire — before it goes back in your safe.
- Optics sales and mounting. We level, torque, and bore-sight your scope so it is ready for the range on the first trip.
- Blue Label duty purchases. Qualified law enforcement, fire, EMS, and military buyers get duty-program pricing without driving to the metro.

Finding the shop
From New Prague it is a straight 25-minute run: Highway 13/21 south through Montgomery, then west on Highway 99 into Le Center, where 99 becomes Derrynane Street. We are on the north side of the highway, directly across from the Le Sueur County fairgrounds, with parking in the spots across Highway 99. If the OPEN light is on, come on in — hours are Tuesday through Friday 10am–5pm and Saturday 10am–3pm.

How far is Younger Gunworks from New Prague?

Can I have a gun I bought online shipped near New Prague?
Yes. Have any online seller or auction site ship your firearm to Younger Gunworks in Le Center, and we complete the FFL transfer for $30. You fill out the background-check paperwork at pickup, and we will call you the moment it arrives.
Can New Prague residents buy a suppressor at Younger Gunworks?
Yes. Our in-store Silencer Shop kiosk handles the purchase and takes your fingerprints on the spot, so there is no separate trip for prints. Once the ATF approves your paperwork, you pick up the suppressor right here in Le Center.
Do you make engraved awards and gifts for New Prague groups?
We do. Our laser shop cuts plaques, tumblers, signs, leather patches, and memorial keepsakes, and we regularly build retirement and department awards for area police, fire, and EMS. If you cannot make the drive, we ship gift orders.
